Routine acceptance of privately funded sidewalk improvements along Pflumm Road. ⁣

𝟐. $𝟑𝟑𝟐,𝟖𝟐𝟎 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐭⁣
The City plans to purchase 6,000 tons of rock salt for the 2026-2027 winter season. Approximately half replaces last winter’s usage while the remainder fully restocks storage facilities for future storms. ⁣

𝟑. 𝐖𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭⁣
Council will consider several actions to continue construction of Woodsonia Drive, including:⁣
⁣

• Awarding a $6.05 million construction contract.⁣
• Approving a new water main.⁣
• Dedicating additional right-of-way.⁣
• Executing utility agreements.⁣
  ⁣
  The overall Special Benefit District has a maximum cost of $10.077 million. Notably, every bid received exceeded the engineer’s estimate, though staff recommends moving forward because all bids were similarly priced. ⁣
  ⁣
  𝟒. 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬⁣
  The developer is requesting approval to place sidewalks, utilities, fence columns and related infrastructure onto portions of City-owned property adjacent to Central Green. The developer will purchase the required easements and encroachments for $77,203. ⁣

  𝟓. 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧⁣
  Routine approval allowing Johnson County’s sewer district to expand service for additional residential development. ⁣
  ⁣
  𝟔. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞⁣
  Administrative approval transferring Industrial Revenue Bond lease documents to a related entity. Staff states this does not create any new tax abatements or change the City’s financial obligations. ⁣

  📣 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬⁣
  𝟕. 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 (𝐂𝐈𝐃)⁣
  This is the most significant item on Tuesday’s agenda.⁣
  ⁣
  Council will consider creating a 22-year Community Improvement District (CID) that would add an additional 1% sales tax within Westchester Shopping Center.⁣
  ⁣
  The additional sales tax would reimburse the developer up to $4.56 million for eligible redevelopment costs, including façade improvements, parking lot reconstruction, sidewalks, landscaping, stormwater improvements, and other infrastructure. The total redevelopment project is estimated at $26.8 million. ⁣
  ⁣
  💬 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐎𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲: If you shop at Westchester or have opinions on the use of CID incentives, this is your opportunity to speak before Council votes.⁣

  𝟖. 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞-𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞⁣
  The public hearing regarding the fire-damaged home at 20826 W. 89th Terrace has once again been continued and is now scheduled for August 18 at staff’s request. ⁣
  ⁣
  💰 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬⁣
  𝟗. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬⁣
  Council will schedule the required public hearings for the proposed 2027 Budget and the Revenue Neutral Rate hearing to take place on September 1.⁣
  ⁣
  We’ll take a much deeper dive into the proposed budget before those hearings. ⁣

  🎨 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧⁣
  𝟏𝟎. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐫𝐭⁣
  Council will consider approving the Lenexa Arts Council’s recommended public art installation for the Justice Center Community Room at a cost not to exceed $11,000. ⁣
